Royal Commission Support - Open Place

The Open Place Royal Commission Support team assists Forgotten Australians who want to take part in the current Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The role of the Royal Commission Support team is to make the Royal Commission’s processes accessible and as stress-free as possible for Forgotten Australians taking part.

Many Forgotten Australians experienced and/or witnessed sexual abuse as children. This Royal Commission is an opportunity for Forgotten Australian survivors to give their firsthand and/or eyewitness account of this to the Commission by way of making a submission.

The Open Place Royal Commission team provides support for those Forgotten Australians who are in the process or aftermath of making a submission to the Royal Commission.

If you would like any assistance relating to the Royal Commission, please contact us.

The Royal Commission finishes in December 2017. Private sessions will be conducted through till then, as there is a significant waiting list. Although registrations for Private Sessions have closed and the Public Hearings have been finalised, as of April 2017 the Commission is still accepting written submissions.
