Completing a National Redress Scheme Application: What You Need to Know Webinar

Knowmore Legal Service will be hosting a webinar regarding the National Redress Scheme. 

In this webinar, you’ll hear from someone who has put in a Redress application and two Knowmore lawyers.

This webinar will give you an overview of:

  • the National Redress Scheme (NRS), including who may be eligible and what the Scheme offers.
  • where to get legal advice to explore whether redress is the right pathway for you.
  • the NRS application form, including its structure and key sections.
  • what the questions are asking and what information you may wish to provide.
    tips for completing an NRS application, and what documents and records could be helpful.
  • application due date, and timelines.
    what to expect after you submit an application.
  • possible redress outcomes, what they mean, and the next steps that may be available to you.
  • resources and information to assist you and your supporters when completing an NRS application.
  • the role of Redress Support Services, how to connect with them, and whether they may be able to assist.

By the end of this webinar, you will be able to:

  • identify the key eligibility requirements for the National Redress Scheme (NRS).
    understand the structure of the NRS application form.
  • identify what records or documents may assist your application.
  • understand key stages of the NRS application process.
  • know where to ask for assistance and advice from a legal or Redress Support Service. 

This is an online webinar, for victim-survivors of child sexual abuse and their supporters. The option to speak and be visible on camera will not be available to attendees, and all attendee names will be anonymous and hidden from other attendees.
