Open Place is a support and advocacy service that coordinates and provides direct assistance to people who grew up in Victorian orphanages and homes prior to 1990. Our service aims to be accessible, welcoming and open to new ideas.

Welcoming Open Place to Relationships Australia Victoria

Today, Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) officially commenced as the new provider of Open Place.

Open Place has been operating since 2010 and provides assistance and support to people who grew up in Victorian orphanages and homes during the last century, also known as Pre-1990 Care Leavers, or Forgotten Australians.

RAV was selected by the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services as the provider of Open Place following a competitive tender process. Berry Street was the previous provider.
